Digital Atlas has teamed up with SUN Microsystems and associates to create a map server appliance. Our map server appliance is an off the shelf ready to go GIS server which can be easily deployed in your hosting centre or within your customers premises to deliver LAN speed map data and GIS services will all the advantages of a web based solution without any bandwidth limits. Digital Atlas uses the same appliance within our own secure hosting centre for our hosted solution.

Our X4100 map server appliance delivers sustained rendered maps at 50 maps per second. Reverse geo-coding from 300 requests per second. Linear saleability is supported by simply adding more servers. A single map server can support over 10,000 users (depending on usage profile).
